WAGONEER WORLD ASSESSMENT:
To help in your decision making regarding this Jeep, we have done a full, detailed assessment of the condition and will be happy to discuss in-depth the condition and recommendations. To provide a clear picture of the current, "as is" condition, here are some general considerations:
Cosmetics: Exterior is still in original, Butterscotch Gold color, however does have blemishes consistent with the age, including numerous chips, thin spots in the paint, etc. Even from a few feet away the Jeep looks very clean and straight. While this Jeep was a lifetime dry "west" vehicle, we did identify during our inspection that behind the rear wheels it was previously repaired for rust spots in this common trouble area. Paint overall still shines up glossy & rich and presents the Jeep well (see vehicle pictures). The interior is clean and tight. Front bench seat (see pictures) has a soft seat cover. While the back seat is nearly flawless, the front has some seat cushion rips underneath the seat cover. We do have access to the original, vinyl seat material (with correct pattern and color match) to refinish the front bench seat if desired. Original 1973 headliner is intact and remarkably well preserved, although does have a rip on the edge of the back corner. Full interior and exterior assessment details are available upon request.
Mechanics: This Jeep has a strong engine and drive train. We have put over 100 miles on the Jeep prior to completing the above work. It is ready to jump in and go, however due to the very detailed mechanical review process and high standard on our premium Jeeps, when held against that standard, we do believe there are a number of mechanical items that should be considered to achieve full restoration of the Jeep. Some of these include full brake job front and back, repack wheel bearings, pinion bearing, water pump, fuel pump, springs & bushings, rebuild carb, etc. We are able to discuss full details for interested buyers.
